Two Drip Lab nurses in black scrubs check on a client during a home visit

Just Fluids and Electrolytes

The Baseline is one bag of lactated Ringer's, an IV fluid that carries electrolytes.

MedlinePlus describes electrolytes as minerals with an electric charge. Your body uses them to balance the amount of water it holds, among other jobs.

Nothing else goes in the bag. That makes it the simplest drip we make, and the one to choose if you'd rather skip vitamins and medication altogether.

For Days That Dry You Out

Dawn on the Butler Trail

Ran the loop around Lady Bird Lake before the heat set in? Fluids at home are an easy way to finish the morning.

An Afternoon at ACL

October at Zilker Park can still run hot, and the festival keeps you on your feet for hours. Plan your ACL weekend.

Race Weekend at COTA

A day in the grandstands at Circuit of the Americas is a long one. Book fluids at your hotel for when you're back. Race weekend tips.

Landing at AUS

Long travel day into Austin? Have a nurse meet you at the hotel once you've checked in.

When Water Is Enough

MedlinePlus says mild dehydration may just need plenty of water. The Baseline is for when you'd rather have IV fluids brought to you and given by a nurse.

It supports hydration. It isn't a treatment for illness.

Some signs call for medical help right away, per MedlinePlus: confusion, fainting, a racing heartbeat or fast breathing.

Heat stroke is a 911 emergency, and a drip doesn't replace that call. Our Austin heat guide lists the warning signs.

The Lowest Price on the Menu

The Baseline is $185 per person. Your registered nurse and every supply come with it, and so does travel within 15 miles of downtown Austin.

Your first drip with us starts with a $26.99 video visit, where a licensed provider looks over your health history and approves the drip. Here's how the visit works.

Fees can come on top: $50 for a visit that begins after 10 PM and $75 to set up five or more drips at one address. You'll find them all on the menu.

You pay out of pocket. Insurance isn't accepted.

Baseline Questions

Do I need a video visit for a bag of fluids?

Yes. Every first drip with us starts with a licensed provider reviewing your health history on a $26.99 video visit, even one with nothing in the bag but fluids.

Can I add vitamins to the Baseline?

Book the Myers Cocktail instead. It adds B12, B complex, vitamin C and magnesium, for $250.

Is an IV better than drinking water?

Not always. MedlinePlus says plenty of water may be all that mild dehydration needs. The Baseline is for when you'd rather have a nurse bring the fluids to you.

Can a few friends get the Baseline at the same time?

Sure. Each person books a drip and does a video visit of their own. Once five or more people are getting drips at one address, it becomes a group booking; see how groups work.

Is the Baseline a good choice for a first IV?

If you want fluids and electrolytes with nothing added, it's the simplest place to start. The provider still reviews your health history first.
